Steady is even, unextreme
Crawling out of bitterness screaming
Dragging through depression, you seem
Half-dead, life out-of-sync, like in a dream
Someone dies, and steady is turned upside down
Everything you thought, felt and held onto
Gone, evaporated, never to retrieve or own
Give me a steady firm ground in faith
Unshaken, unstirred by storms and the wait
On His feet I stand, a girl dancing with her dad
Abide, realize steady lives inside

Julie, beautiful words and truths here today! I love this word picture:
On His feet I stand,
a girl dancing with her dad
Abide, realize steady lives inside
When we dance with our Daddy, we can be steady because He is always holding us and guiding us. Even through life’s horrible.
