A sacred pause.
It could be an a-ha in the Kingdom of God where Scripture comes alive and the light bulb goes on~
It could be the still, small voice of Jesus in your ear~
It could be receiving a letter from someone you have yet to forgive~
It could be a long-stored tear sliding down a cheek, a softening of a heart~
It could be an angelic voice belting out praise to the Father~
It could be a prayer for you by a sister or brother whose heart is for Our Lord~
It could be the physical touch from someone who loves you and wants the best for you, as He does~
It could be silence in the presence of His Holiness~
Sacred honors Him.
Sacred bows on bended knee, hands and heart open, lips confess,” Jesus Christ is the Living Son of God”.
It isn’t a sacred moment unless there is an invitation to draw closer.
He doesn’t want us to be distant, disconnected from Him to honor Him.
Jesus wants us right up close, the closer to His breath which formed the world, the ever more sacred.
Mary bore Him as a baby. Every cell in her body used to nourish Jesus, all the while He was a long-ago formed light-of-the-world in her womb waiting for His first reveal.
Mary held Jesus at her bosom, allowing God-given milk to flow down his tiny throat into his baby stomach.
Though we did not have the in-person privilege to be His mama, chase His cloak, remove our shoes and eat with Him, listen with hungry ears the redemptive truth from His lips, or call His name and see Him stop in a crowd to turn back to us …
He has never left us, even though we can’t physically grab onto Him.
Jesus continues to be our Living Water and the bread which feeds our abundant lives. He puts angels in our path (seen and unseen) to protect, to fellowship, to bless us with a sense of intimacy with Our Almighty God that our human brains can entertain.
“Do not be afraid,” says the angel to Joseph and goes on to tell him how he will be father, and Mary will be mother to a baby who will save people from their sins (Matthew 1:20-21).
If you are longing for a sacred moment, pray boldly in belief He will answer.
Experience wonder as He leads you … because our personal Lord and Savior will lead you to the perfect, most sacred place, that of Himself.
Wow! Thank you all for joining here to honor Jesus.
