Good morning, Friends,
Our Mighty God has blessed me so much these past few days. Kind comments, cards in the mail, a loving husband who is taking me on a movie date today, and this … the thankfulness tag. Thank you, Melissa McLaughlin, for inviting me to join the fun.
In case you don’t know Melissa, she is a Godly woman, a Christ-centered author and teacher, wife, mother and sister. Check out her blog at https://melissamclaughlinheartsong.com

Alone in my sin. Bitter and self-condemned. Did He rescue me? Oh in every way. Freedom reigns! A financial gift when we were low, a heaven-sent disciple who joined me right in the kettle of lies and mess. No judgment on my past or my present. With quivering lips, I will repeat this story of The Jesus I met and fell in love with, who undeniably saved me from destruction, who very perfectly delivered me from alcohol abuse, who waited for the perfect time to name abandonment for the child within me, the one in exile since she was young. Yes, I will praise Him and share Him until my dying day! His joy walks with me, and I have zero doubt of His transformative power for all who call His name.
Every day I am thankful for the freedom from sin and pain that were heavy as chains for most of my life. I honestly do not know if I would be alive or still married without Jesus, and I know without a doubt I would not be alcohol-free without His saving. All glory to Him!
