A Prayer for the New Week

Lord Jesus,

I praise Your being, Your person, Your heart, Your divinity.

Lord, there is no one like You.

You are the same as You were in the beginning and will be at the end of our world.

I bless Your name, Your name is the only name, Jesus!

I need You as my Savior.

I lose my way when I drift from You.

In Your great faithfulness, You never ever leave me. You never stop pursuing me, little ole me.

Please, Lord, forgive me for allowing distractions to overshadow Your presence. I confess to allowing things like my cell phone and other activities to come before You.

Lord, I need Your help, Your saving. Your grace and not just this one time …

I thank You for Your truth that invites us to Your throne where You promise to be waiting with grace and mercy as we need it.

I need You, Jesus, not just this one time.

I need You every day with every single breath I take. For without You, Jesus, I am nothing.

In Your powerful name I pray,

Amen

Let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive His mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most (Hebrews 4:16 NLT).
