An Open Letter to Those who Believe in God

  1. Wonderful, generous work you are doing Julie. These times right now remind me of stories from the Old Testament where people were afraid of potential doom. Yet God held back destroying the earth. Instead, he poured out his forgiveness because of the faith of a few. The rainbow that He sent after Noah’s odyssey comes to mind. These are very challenging times. As parents and members of the human family, we know how it feels when we lose a loved one. Imagine how God must have felt when he lost his only son on the cross? We are called now to have compassion on all of our brothers and sisters around the world. Our closest neighbors family members and cultures and religions we may not know much about, or even fear. We are all part of God’s family and His creation. We cannot presume to understand his judgements or prescribe how many rooms He has in His house. Maybe God wants his Earth back? He created it in all of its myriad beauty, both in nature, especially His human family. We must earnestly and in purity wish for the peace and safety of all of humanity, for our enemies as well as our friends. And we must do this with all our heart and act on this with compassion and peace. If we do this, Jesus will be with us and His new world will emerge so much better than the state we are in right now. God bless you.

  2. Wow, what a passionate, powerful call to change Gospel message this is! You have pulled no punches here, Julie, in saying it like it is. May many be inspired, shaken out of complacency, and stirred into action by your earnest, prayer-laced words. And may they be encouraged to seek after God as you have suggested. Bless you for your boldness, honest testimony, and conviction in sharing the Good News at the heart of the Christian faith. xo ❤️
