When God commands you Be obedient, I AM working.
It hushes your mouth, stills your soul.
Your sensitive heart cries out Lord, Your people, Lord. Where are they? Are they coming? What are they doing? How many will You save? O Lord, please draw them to Yourself.
You cannot remember the names, but He knows. There are more than one among an online group who twist His truth and mock the throne. You know to stand firm. You not to repay evil with evil. You know to avenge is the Lord’s.
Humbled, your bowed head and open ears hear His whisper …
Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name; worship the Lord in the splendor if His holiness (Psalm 29:2).
Your flesh moves out of the way to allow His Spirit free reign.
Lord, please forgive my sin
of taking too much in
of thinking my actions precluded Your glory within
Then a text, a nudge for you to walk.
All your eyes see is bare:
This angel cares not who is looking but welcomes her bare space to pray.
The voice of the Lord twists the oaks and strips the forest bare. And in His temple all cry, “Glory!” (Psalm 29:9).
This verse, the one you learned last week, appears in your mind.
Stripped of pride, bare to the spiritual bones, you look up trusting there is no finger pointing from heaven. Rather, an open hand of the Father, calling you to come.
Intercession for the many.
Lord, I don’t want anyone left behind. Lord, I once was lost but then You found me. Those who don’t know You or reject You are dying … and fast, Lord.
He hears. You trust that He hears.
The Lord sits enthroned over the flood [plague]
The Lord is enthroned as King forever (Psalm 29:10).
You catch a glimpse of His glory on this rather lonely, quarantined walk.
You wake up, again.
The words of a sister in a prayer meeting “Lord, teach us how to pray”.
That fire in your soul …
Lord, praise Your holy name, Lord I bless You and Your heavenly host. Lord, with my heart low and hands raised, I thank You for life and for the saving You will do, for the lost You will find, for the hungry you will feed, for those hurting You will comfort. Please help me even while I pray for others to keep my eyes upon Your throne, Lord. Please help me surrender radically to You Father, down to the dust out of which You made me.
The space between reveals His mysterious, ever-changing sky.
Where your flesh and Spirit collide there is confusion … where Spirit reigns there is freedom. His grace forever bridges the gap between our sin and His holiness.
Run into His loving arms no matter how many times it takes you to get Your Spirit aligned with His.
Don’t stop pursuing our Immovable God. His faithfulness is like heaven’s welcome mat here on earth:
For it is only when we give up our lives for His sake that we will find it (Matthew 10:39).
Because we are all sinners, we all need to bare the ugly and turn it over, and ask Jesus to forgive. I am painfully aware of how quickly I can succumb to temptation at times. Usually, when I am tired and I haven’t armored myself in His Word for that part of day.
Praying doesn’t always include repentance but it should:
Forgive us our trespasses and as we forgive those who trespass against us (Lord’s Prayer).
May we all take care of business with our gracious. loving Father regularly and pray regularly for the healing of our land.
Desperate times require desperate prayer, desperate repentance as much as consistent prayer and consistent repentance.
I welcome your thoughts here on the blog or you may directly email me at email@example.com,
