We remove our shoes and approach Your feet.
We stand in powerful silence before You.
After lifting our arms and praising Your holy name, we bow low to the ground.
The burden is too heavy to bear, Lord.
This plague has not only caused death, sickness, unemployment, depression and anxiety … Lord, it has caused confusion.
Forgive us, Lord, we are having trouble seeing Your hand.
We trust You to love Your people, in disobedience and in obedience.
If it pleases you. Lord, may we bring to Your attention to Your Word in Exodus 15:25-26:
There the Lord issued a ruling and instruction for them and put them to the test.
He said, “If you listen carefully listen to the Lord your God and do what is right in His eyes, if you pay attention to His commands and keep all His decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.”
With heads low, our hearts speak:
How many will You deem as righteous to lift this plague?
How many more souls will be saved before you lift this plague?
How many of Your people, Lord, will die from Covid either directly or indirectly?
Lord, now we seek Your face. We praise Your power, Your orchestration of our lives, Your miracles!
We, those who know and love You, need You … desperately, Lord.
Your truth is where we plant our feet.
We call upon Your name to pour Your Spirit out to sons and daughters alike. We love You, Lord, and we want to serve You. Come, Holy Spirit! Lead, speak, teach us. Open our hearts wide for revival, first within our souls then multiplied.
To the Israelites the glory of the Lord looked like a consuming fire on top of the mountain (Exodus 24:17).
Let Your fire fall upon us, Lord, the weight of Your glory, the power of Your presence!
Therefore, since we are receiving an unshakeable kingdom, let us be filled with gratitude, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe. For our God is a consuming fire (Hebrews 12:28-29).
We welcome Your fire to cleanse us, prepare us, kick-start us, Lord, into the purpose You have planned for us.
We are here to worship only You, Lord. Show us if anything in our lives needs to go. Convict us, Lord, if our hearts seek our own glory rather than giving ALL to You.
We stand firm that You are the Only Holy God of heaven and earth.
For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God (Deuteronomy 4:24).
We thank You in advance, Lord, for how You will save more of Your children, how You will heal more of Your children, and how You will raise up leaders cleansed and prepared by Your fire for good works You planned long ago.
It is in the powerful name of Jesus we pray,
Thank you all for joining me here for this prayer.
I wonder what your thoughts are on spiritual revival?
Do you think we in the United States need revived? Why or why not.
I believe God will revive us one way or another, so we better pray up, stand firm, and steep in His truth.
Here is a song I listen to when I worship and want to draw closer to His Spirit:
