  1. Oh, Julie, “The Cost of Discipleship” is one of my favorite all time books. I respect his story and boldness for the gospel message. I re-read the book every few years and you’ve just sparked a desire to do so again…soon. Thank you, dear sister.

    1. Good morning dear Karen, though this was my first time through The Cost of Discipleship, you have just been the messenger to remind me to revisit it. Yes, Lord! And Karen, please know I continue to pray for your mother’s heart. If ever you want to to talk or pray together, please don’t hesitate to reach me, Love in Christ, Julie

  2. Julie, as I speak with Christians I know, and read things from those I don’t, I sense God is leading His people in a similar direction, that of stillness, not just quiet, but truly still, so they can not only hear, but discern and define what His Spirit is saying to the church. “Be still, and know that I am God”. Praying for you and with you as you continue to hear.

  3. Julie, thanks for sharing this perspective of standing in the shadow of the Cross. I have been blessed to read some about Dietrich Boenhoffer’s journey to America prior to his German ministry. His witness and struggles are an inspiring and moving testament.
